Some things you save for yourself. Others immediately make you think of someone. Sharing lets you pass on that recommendation directly from a piece of content in your timeline.
Add the thought behind your recommendation
Open the sharing option, then create or reuse a link. You can include your name and add a short accompanying message. Both are optional.
“I thought of you while listening to this part about preparing for an interview. It reminded me of what we were discussing yesterday.”
This message accompanies your recommendation. Your personal notes on the content remain private.
Copy the link and send it through your preferred conversation channel. The shared page includes a thumbnail and an excerpt taken from the opening lines of the preview. Anyone who receives the link can view this page.
Read first, save later
The recipient can view the linked page without an account. A Kontenu account is required to save the content to their own timeline.
Once saved, the recommendation includes a badge and your accompanying message. The recipient can collapse or delete that message while keeping the content.
That gives them both the item you recommended and the reason you wanted to pass it on.
Find the links you’ve created
In Settings → Shares, you can search your shares, copy a link again, open the corresponding content or revoke a share.
Revoking a link closes further access through that link. It does not remove copies that recipients have already accepted into their timelines.
Start with something that made you think of someone, and add the few words that explain why.
